HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY
Today is Valentine’s Day…don’t forget to spoil your sweetheart.
However, remember to look after your own heart as well. According to Dr Edward Laskowski (Mayoclinic.org) your body needs at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per week as well as strength training at least twice per week. If you’re short on time small bursts of activity add up to create benefit to your health.
If you’re afraid that exercise may cause you pain or injury check with your Medical Doctor or Physio to draw up a specific customized program that is suited and built just for you.
Two tests that we use to gauge your fitness are:
- Sit – Stand Chair Test
- 40 metre walk test
