Gabe, Is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC, with a focuson trigger point release, PNF stretching, joint mobilizations, and deep tissue massage. Gabe grew up in Winnipeg, MB playing hockey in the winter and soccer in the summers. Then, in his early teens developing a love for skateboarding and snowboarding, which led him to spending 11 years living in Banff National Park. After suffering a severe broken leg and two surgeries from skateboarding, he turned to different physical therapy modalities, after seeing the benefit of massage therapy in his recovery, he would then use it as a tool to maintain a pain free body. With increasing interest in strengthening his body, he found strength training to be extremely beneficial, and rewarding. In 2011 deciding to obtain his personal training certification to better his knowledge, then over the next 10 years Gabe dedicated himself to strength training and powerlifting, and continued to use massage therapy to help repair the bumps and bruises along the way. His passion for human anatomy, and developing a strong functional body continued to grow. In 2020 Gabe enrolled in the WCCMT 2200 hour registered massage therapy program in Victoria, BC. During his practicum Gabe had the opportunity to provide treatment to professional sports teams, patients with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, and cerebral palsy, Gabe also completed rotations in multiple full time care homes, and found these experiences very rewarding. Gabe chose to do a patient case study and research paper focusing on cervicogenic headaches and the treatment, with a high level ofsuccess.
