Ponoka Physiotherapy & Acupuncture Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic located in downtown Ponoka and has been providing quality physiotherapy and acupuncture treatments for more than 30 years. At our clinic we believe every person who walks through our door is important. Our gentle holistic approach and exercise prescription for many common health issues have improved the lives of many people in Town of Ponoka and residents in surrounding area. Our physiotherapy and acupuncture services are tailored to the needs of each individual client and Our focus is to provide quality service to assist our patients to reach their full potential.

The space is a beautiful 3600 square foot clinic conveniently located at the heart of the city with ample of parking. Our spacious clinic boasts 5 physiotherapy treatment rooms, one hand therapy stations, 4 private rooms and 1 massage therapy room, and a separate spinal decompression table for both cervical and lumbar spine. Additionally, we have a large exercise area about 6oo sq ft; filled with treadmill, recumbent bike, Precor multi gym unit, functional capacity evaluation tools, loads of equipment for strengthening, balance and proprioceptive training, functional exercises, and more.

We also have various treatment modalities including Ultrasound, IFC (interferential current), TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), NMES (neuromuscular electrical stimulation), heat, ice Shockwave therapy, LASER and Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE).

Our services include a holistic approach based on Evidence based treatment approach and tailored towards individual goals. We are specialized in treating musculoskeletal conditions of all ages, surgical and non-surgical orthopedics, pain management, customized orthotic and brace assessment and fitting, Vestibular rehabilitation, automobile accidents, sports injuries, and workplace injuries.

At our facility we have two therapists, with 50 plus years of individual experience. One Massage therapist and kinesiologist. Our therapist is also certified in IMS, Acupuncture & Spinal manipulation and registered in rooster with College of Physiotherapy Alberta.
